3 iPhone Settings to Turn Off Right Now

Apple markets itself on privacy, but the default settings are often invasive. Here are 3 switches to flip immediately.

1. Significant Locations

Your iPhone keeps a log of everywhere you go and how long you stay there.
Go to: Settings > Privacy > Location > System Services > Significant Locations. Turn it OFF.

2. Shared Analytics

Stop sending daily reports to Apple.
Go to: Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements. Turn everything OFF.

3. Camera Metadata

By default, the Camera app tags your photos with GPS data. You can turn this off in settings, but for photos you have already taken, you need a scrubber tool.

Already have photos?

Use our tool to check if your old photos have GPS data.
